This is a good basic cheese ball that can be made ahead of time and freezes well for a few weeks. We served this at Tonya's wedding and I used it for lots of Christmas gatherings.
2 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 pkg. (10 oz.) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
2 T. green onion, chopped
2 T. Worchestershire sauce
2/3 c. pecans, chopped
Thoroughly blend cream cheese and cheddar cheese. Fold in pineapple, onion and Worchestershire sauce. Refrigerate several hours, shape into 2 balls about the size of a baseball. Roll in the chopped nuts. Refrigerate over night. Serve with crackers. These may be wrapped and frozen several weeks ahead of use.
