TALLY'S EGG BAKE

4 eggs
3 c. milk
1 1/3 t. salt
1/2 t. dried mustard
2 c. grated cheddar cheese,divided
12 slices white bread
1/3 c. margarine
1/4 t. paprika

Grease 9x13 inch baking pan.  Mix eggs, milk, salt and mustard together.  Butter the bread slices and place 6 of them in the baking pan.  Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese.   Place another layer of buttered bread over the cheese.  Sprinkle remaining cheese over the other 6 buttered bread slices.  Pour liquid mixture over the bread and cheese.  Cover and refrigerate for 8-24 hours.  Sprinkle with paprika and bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.

This recipe was always one of our most popular at RCSD when we would have a brunch.  Tally Carroll fixed it.  Back in the good old days when I fed the board members at every meeting every other week, I used this recipe.  They loved it.
